Описание: In March 2025 on the new FRIGO cooling building at Wageningen University Campus a Blue-Green Solar roof was constructed in the course of 5 days. This blue-green roof is capable of retaining 60 mm of rainwater in the Permavoid drainage system which is outfitted with capillary columns for natural irrigation of the (seeded) local biodiverse planting. The plant-evaporation is intended to naturally cool the solar panels, increasing their annual output with up to 5%. In the coming years the vegetation and insect diversity development will be closely monitored by Wageningen University researchers.
