He has also received numerous awards, including the GRC and Anti-Financial Crime Reporter of the Year 2021 and again in 2022; and the People Journalism Prize for Africa 2020. David is also the 2023 Distinguished James Currey Fellow at the University of Cambridge and the author of ‘The Jungle: A Personal Journey with the Enfant Terrible of Nigerian Journalism’ and ‘Breaking Point: A Journalist’s Quest for Salvation in Nigeria’s Chaos’.
