Animal Climbs up my Leg on Palenque Jungle Tour

Описание: We pay for a guided tour of the jungle in Palenque next to the site of archelogy. The tour guide shows us lots of different plants and how the Mayan people use them as medicine. We eat some termites which taste surprisingly good. A baby squirrel grabs onto my shoe and climbs up my leg. I ahve loved my time in Palenque living in the jungle. Now its time to go into the jungle and see what its really like. I team up with a german couple to negotiate on the price of the tour.
Arriving in Palenque after a 12 hour over night bus from Chetumal in Mexico. We jump onto a taxi to get to the outskirts of the city to find a hotel in the rainforest. Check out my new hotel that has only a mosquito net for walls and windows. its going to be a noisy night. The hotel is very high end though and probably the nest hotel i have stayed at in Mexico as i increase my travel budget a little, thanks to kind donations by my viewers. As i leave the cities of Mexico i feel my body slowing down, its peaceful but i also acknowledge the challenge of mindfulness and the conditioned part of me that wishes top keep busy rather than be present and feel my emotions. There are lots of Mayan ruins and waterfalls to see but these tourist attractions are expensive. Can i afford to be a tourist and see it all or do i need to manage my funds and stay frugal in order to make long term life as an expat living abroad permanently work.
