Under the Piano (2007)

Описание: This was the final release CAW! CAW! made that was fully recorded at home. Made during a transitional phase in the band's career, this was CAW! CAW! in a quieter, more contemplative mood, reeling from the loss of Shumie and figuring out a way forward. In this atmosphere, Tim and Evan continued on, playing some shows as a duo, others with the help of Adam Kivel on sax and bass, finally adding Stephen Kozak to the mix as a second guitarist towards the end of the recording sessions here. The EP was released as a limited CD-R in summer 2007 and supported with a string of house shows and gallery appearances around Chicago.

Many of the "Under the Piano" songs were re-recorded in 2008 for the "Wait Outside" EP, which was a bigger sounding, more electric approach. During this shift in sensibility, Kivel would depart, eventually replaced by Dan Rico who would complete the lineup that recorded "Bummer Palace" and would remain intact until the band's indefinite hiatus began in late 2011.
