Описание: There’s something fragile and half-awake about In the Heat of the Morning.
Bowie wrote this one with a kind of gentle ambition — like someone reaching for something bigger but not quite able to hold it yet. I wanted the performance and arrangement to live in that space too.

Compared to Let Me Sleep Beside You, with its bombast and pop hooks, this recording is more intimate, intricate, and densely woven. LMSBY was all precision: thorough composition, lots of angles, lots of calculated energy. This one felt more like documenting a moment. I focused on simplicity — tight framing, a few guitars, a clear vocal line, and a structure that doesn’t try to outdo the original, just follow its emotional logic.

Visually, I kept the compositions straightforward. Instead of building elaborate backgrounds, I added a few cinematic inserts filmed during morning sunrises in the desert, along with some spinning closeups of my David Bowie – Stage LP. I let the ambient light and slow camera movements carry the atmosphere. The video feels more like a diary entry than a production — which ended up fitting the song better than anything I planned.

Chapter two of the Bowie trilogy — the quiet one before everything gets big again.
