Tiara and I are coming up on a year together, and with everything we’ve got going on, it’s been harder and harder to find time. She’s been feeling stuck in the routine lately, and I remembered how she always talks about her childhood trips to Dufan—how she was this fearless little daredevil riding Hysteria five times in a row (I know... insane). She always wanted to go back, so I surprised her with two tickets (well, four—my sister and her boyfriend tagged along too).
Her reaction? Pure joy. She was glowing, like her inner child came alive, and honestly, seeing that big smile on her face made my day.
What I’ve learned is that even when life feels like it’s all about chasing goals, sometimes you’ve got to hit pause. Going back to Ferris Bueller's quote, 'Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.'
