Increasingly, peacebuilders are finding the language of risk and resilience to shocks useful as a way to engage with the probable and improbable dimensions of violent conflict. Where stakeholders may not admit they have a conflict problem, they may be willing to admit they have a risk of violence. This session will explore current approaches to risk analysis, risk assessments and risk management in connection with conflict prevention and how the language of risk can be employed to build a common understanding of challenges and solutions.
