Now he teaches golfers in ways that leave them laughing. .

When he hits the road from Columbus, Georgia his golf bag is literally a bag of tricks. Rubber-shafted drivers that flop around, smoking golf balls, 3-foot-high tees, a 6-foot driver … more than 50 tricks. Bumann has traveled to four continents, numerous countries, and has cris-crossed the U.S. just like he did on the PGA tour. In 1974 gave over 150 shows and traveled 300,000 miles. Somehow, he found the time to be the President of the Georgia PGA and was selected the Georgia PGA professional of the year in 1966, ’69, ’70 and ’71. I guess it all goes to show how successful you can be when you decide that golf isn’t that serious. This story aired on WSB-TV Channel 2 Action News in 1975.
