This dinosaur was the apex predator of the Cenomanian Stage. Siats meekerorum was over 9 meters long and weighed more than 4 tons. Despite its large size, the dinosaur is not a close relative of Tyrannosaurus rex and other tyrannosaurs, it was actually a carcharodontosaurian (including giants like Giganotosaurus and Carcharadontosaurus). “This dinosaur was a colossal predator second only to the great Tyrannosaurus rex and perhaps Acrocanthosaurus in the North American fossil record.”
