Richie McCaw was born Oamaru, New Zealand and began his international rugby career in 2001, when he was picked for the All Blacks tour of Ireland.
Richie McCaw has played for the Crusaders in the Super rugby since 2001 and has also played in both the 2007 and 2011 Rugby world cup.
McCaw looks set to join the All Blacks once again in the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
