"Moonglow Carolina is at the core, a traveling song. When writing the song, which began in 2017, we were traveling to the southeast every few weeks. I wanted to create a story that would bring those images and memories to life. It encompasses the beauty of travel, and the beauty of the Appalachian area to be specific. It also touches on how tough it can be to not have your loved ones with you while visiting these places, yet growth isn't possible without those sacrifices.
When filming we really just wanted to get a bunch of raw footage, things you would see while driving through these areas. We also just wanted to get a few candid shots of the band which can look pretty nostalgic on film. We mainly shot in North Carolina, Virginia, and Tennessee."
