The ultimate Talbot-Lago. This one should have the V8 BMW engine, the early replacement of the too fragile straight four "Talbot T14", which was the first engine supposed to be mounted in this car. The very latest "America" produced were equipped with the poor flat head V8 of the Simca "Versailles" originally designed by Ford. Mr. Pigozzi, the Simca owner, who had bought Talbot to Anthony Lago for a fistful of peanuts, decided to stop the production of this beautiful car, and he just wanted to sell the some last "America" bodyshells that remained in the Suresnes factory with a cheap Simca engine. Too bad...
