My father in law invited me to go out to the desert with his coworkers on a guys trip, how could I refuse.
We went out to Dove Springs that's in the Mojave Desert to explore some abandoned sites. Here was our fourth stop at the Bickel Camp.
Bickel Camp is a very old camp that was settled by a man named Walter Bickel in 1933. The man has a very interesting story, also a WW2 VET. He built a tool to help with military guns.
At this camp it has a lot of gold mining material he once used. His cabin was also left the same way he left it before he passed away.
This was my first time in this area and second time riding in the desert. It definitely was a blast and I'd like to go back and explore some more areas.
