Monday of the Sixth Week in Ordinary Time — Year A

Reflection:
Today’s readings teach us the meaning of tested faith. Saint James reminds us that trials are not signs of God’s absence but opportunities for growth, forming patience and maturity in us. True wisdom is received through humble and unwavering trust in God. In the Gospel, Jesus refuses to perform a sign for those who demand proof without faith. Miracles cannot convince a hardened heart. Faith is not built on spectacle but on trust. God’s grace is already present; what he seeks is not doubt, but belief that remains steady even in trials.
