Описание: In this video Salvatore Vinciguerra travels to Andersonville, Georgia to visit the Andersonville National Historic Site and The National Prisoner of War Museum. First Salvatore shares with you a tour of The National Prisoner of War Museum. Visitors should be warned of the sensitivity of what is displayed in the exhibits and in the film that they show in the Museum. The exhibits are not meant to be viewed in a particular order and it is ok to start your tour anywhere in the building. I would highly suggest that you take the time to watch the movie at the museum as it will put Andersonville in perspective as to why it is host to the National Prisoner of War Museum. As you walk through the exhibits take time to read the captions of the artifacts as they are intriguing and help answer the question of "Who is a prisoner of War?"

Then, Salvatore brings outside to visit the Andersonville National Historic site which was also called Camp Sumter during the Confederacy. Andersonville was the largest prisoner of war camp in the United States. Salvatore shares with you a taste of how it was like to live at Andersonville and how prisoners were treated.

Later in the video Salvatore brings you to the Andersonville National Cemetery and shares with you some of the history of the tombstones and large monuments dedicated by states to their fallen soldiers.
