Step 1 - Hello world

Описание: This is my very first animation. Maybe you can tell. It is not great.
I am kind of proud of this though, as I just discovered a whole bunch of things on my own to make this happen. First time ever trying to animate something. No tutorials involved or anything.

So, what is the purpose of this thing then? Well, I wanted to learn a couple of new things and document the progress in videos as I learn them. Maybe that is as intresting as watching paint dry, but I kind of like to believe it could be intresting for atleast someone to see where this goes in due time. There will be cool stuff on display once I learn how to do those. Or.. in the least, you get to have a chuckle at the inevitable screw-ups that comes from trying things out without really knowing what I am doing. The 3d modeling and the animation are both new to me, so don't expect a whole lot of progress quickly.

Obviously, I could have created a little more complex of a scene (that might be next step!) but I wanted to see the results within hours instead of within DAYS, so that is why it started with this rotating silliness. 300 frames (10 seconds yes) of animated nonsense in full hd took nearly 3 hours to render with antialiasing set to x1 - x4. Let's start there.

There were supposed to be sound in there aswell but that obviously didn't work. I forgot to tick that one box..
