Today, at the request of subscribers, we will talk about balance and rotation split side trunk horizontal.
Let's look at how the balance is performed first on the flat foot. Stand in the starting position, usually in the first out position of the legs.
The arms are open to the side in the allongee position, the head is straight. Open the leg to the side through the battement tendu, from the beginning the leg going up, then the body also bends to the side and the open leg rises to a height of 180 degrees, the hips should be in the inverted position in exactly the same position as the split side on the floor. The head can be turned to the floor, so the shape will look more complete, or it can be kept in its original position.
It is very important that the legs open exactly in a straight line of the split side and the feet are in the same line.
Then we return to the starting position.
Let's look at the execution and exercises for this type of balance at the barre in the releve position.
We are facing the barre in the fifth position of releve. The head is straight. We open the leg to the side by 100 degrees, then the leg rises to a height of 180 degrees and the body bend to the side, for ease of execution, the arm opens to the side and the head turns in the direction of balance. Then we return to the starting position.

This type of rotation does not require ballet preparation, from the starting position, you can rotate en dehors and en dedans. In our case, the gymnast performs en dehors rotation. Starting position in this case is the same as in split side balance, only in the opposite direction. The left leg opens to the side on which the step is made and the body moves to the left leg, through plie in the second position, then there is a rotation on the left leg. And this rotation ends in the fifth position of releve, hands are open to the side.
