The Labour MP for Hampstead and Highgate came under scrutiny for living in London properties that appeared to have been linked to her aunt, Sheikh Hasina, the ousted former Prime Minister of Bangladesh. As a result, Siddiq has resigned from her ministerial position in the Treasury.
