PM Laptop Distribution Ceremony held at Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Engineering & Technology (MNS UET), Multan

A dignified and well-organized Prime Minister’s Laptop Distribution Ceremony was held at Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Engineering & Technology (MNS UET), Multan, to facilitate meritorious and deserving students under the Government of Pakistan’s flagship initiative for digital empowerment and higher education.

The ceremony was jointly presided over by the Worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Tauseef Aized, and the Honorable Deputy Commissioner, Mr. Noman Siddique, who attended the event as the chief guest.

In his welcome address, Prof. Dr. Tauseef Aized warmly received the distinguished guest and highlighted the strategic vision of MNS UET for producing highly skilled engineers, researchers, and innovators. He emphasized that access to modern digital tools is no longer a luxury but a necessity for quality education, research productivity, and global competitiveness. He further stated that the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme plays a vital role in bridging the digital divide and strengthening students’ capacity for online learning, research work, and professional development.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Noman Siddique congratulated the selected students and appreciated the academic environment and rapid institutional growth of MNS UET. He underlined that the youth of Pakistan, particularly students of engineering and technology, are the real drivers of national development. He encouraged students to utilize the laptops responsibly for academic excellence, innovation, entrepreneurship, and research, rather than merely for recreational use.

During the ceremony, laptops were distributed among high-achieving and eligible students from various departments of the University. The moment was received with great enthusiasm by the students, who expressed gratitude to the Government of Pakistan and the University administration for providing them with an essential learning resource.

The Deputy Commissioner and the Vice Chancellor also interacted with students and faculty members, acknowledging their academic achievements and commitment to excellence. Both dignitaries reaffirmed their resolve to strengthen collaboration between the district administration and the University for future academic, research, and community-oriented initiatives.

The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks and a group photograph of the chief guest, the Vice Chancellor, faculty members, and laptop recipients, marking the ceremony as a significant step toward empowering students of MNS UET, Multan through digital access and educational support.
