Trump, Kennedy ties Tylenol use during pregnancy to autism

Описание: Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz, FDA Commissioner Dr. Marty Makary and Director of the National Institutes of Health Jay Bhattacharya were among those in attendance Monday.

Kennedy also announced the FDA is initiating approval of leucovorin to treat some symptoms of autism.

"Some 40-70% of mothers who have children with autism believe that their child was injured by a vaccine. President Trump believes that we should be listening to these mothers instead of gaslighting and marginalizing them like prior administrations," Kennedy wrote on X following the announcement.

The HHS Secretary said he expects Monday's announcements will be the first of many over the next few years on research into autism and paths to "prevention and reversal."

Kennedy is also launching an "all-agency effort" to identify the causes of autism, including the National Institutes of Health, FDA, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
