Israel’s prime minister took centre stage at the United Nations on Friday, and he had some harsh words for Canada. Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the Canadian government's recent decision to recognize a Palestinian state, warning it would encourage attacks on Jewish communities. Canadian officials remained seated throughout the speech, but as Jackson Proskow reports, many other diplomats did not.

Canada's Prime Minister was in the British capital Friday, seeking to strengthen trade and defence ties as Ottawa looks to reduce reliance on the U.S. Mark Carney met with the leaders of the U.K., Australia and Denmark, among others. Many protested with their pocketbooks, turning away from travelling to, and buying from the U.S. And, as Heidi Petracek reports, new polling suggests the 'Buy Canadian' trend has stuck, eight months on.
