Описание: A 21 de fevereiro de 1994, a cidade de Aveiro viu nascer a Tuna Feminina da Associação Académica da Universidade de Aveiro. Há muito tempo que vozes femininas ecoavam pelas ruelas da cidade e necessitavam de ter um seio para se emanar.

Desde esse dia o núcleo promove as suas próprias músicas e arranjos musicais. Cultiva-se o espírito e a cultura da academia aveirense. Em 1996, a Tuna Feminina presta homenagem à protectora da cidade, a Princesa Santa Joana, organizando o "Memorial de Santa Joana Princesa”, no Museu de Aveiro.

Para além desta iniciativa, realiza o festival de tunas femininas, intitulado “Noite de Serenatas Femininas”, que inicialmente começou por ser uma noite, em que as tunas femininas entoavam as mais belas serenatas e hoje é um festival importante no panorama das Tunas Femininas em Portugal e até a nível internacional.
De referir que esta Tuna possui um bom reportório musical com grande parte das suas musicais originais, compostas por membros desta mesma Tuna. Facto que é verdadeiramente reconhecido num festival e que garante o potencial de evolução.

Reconhecida a sua valia, a Tuna Feminina da A.A.U.Av. já tem uma presença incontornável e bem vincada entre as tunas femininas do país bem como na Europa, facto que lhes garantiu a possibilidade de viajarem do norte ao sul de Portugal, aos Açores e à Madeira.

Também transportou a cultura universitária portuguesa para além fronteiras, durante a sua estadia em França, Espanha, Holanda e Peru.
É também presença habitual em inúmeros e prestigiados festivais onde já conquistou numerosos prémios, entre os quais Melhor Tuna, Melhor Solista, Melhor Estandarte, Melhor pandeireta, Melhor Original, Melhor Instrumental e o prémio Tuna Mais Tuna!

É nesta constante aventura, de dar vida às vozes femininas, que esta tuna guarda eternas recordações. É pelos concursos de tunas realizados pelo país fora e outros que demonstrou a sua alegria, o seu espírito, a sua música e a sua cidade!

On 21 February 1994, the city of Aveiro saw the birth of the Female Tuna of the Academic Association of the University of Aveiro. For a long time, female voices had echoed through the city's narrow streets and needed a place to emanate from.

Since that day, the group has promoted its own songs and musical arrangements. It cultivates the spirit and culture of Aveiro's academic community. In 1996, the Female Tuna paid tribute to the city's patron saint, Princess Saint Joan, by organising the ‘Memorial of Saint Joan Princess’ at the Aveiro Museum.

In addition to this initiative, it holds a festival of female tunas, entitled ‘Noite de Serenatas Femininas’ (Night of Female Serenades), which initially began as an evening where female tunas sang the most beautiful serenades and is now an important festival in the panorama of Female Tunas in Portugal and even internationally. It should be noted that this tunas has a good musical repertoire, with most of its music being original compositions by members of the tunas itself. This fact is truly recognised at festivals and guarantees the tunas' potential for growth.

Recognised for its value, the A.A.U.Av. Female Tuna already has an unmistakable and well-established presence among female tunas in the country as well as in Europe, a fact that has guaranteed them the opportunity to travel from the north to the south of Portugal, to the Azores and Madeira.

It has also taken Portuguese university culture beyond borders during its stays in France, Spain, the Netherlands and Peru. It is also a regular presence at numerous prestigious festivals where it has won numerous awards, including Best Tuna, Best Soloist, Best Banner, Best Tambourine, Best Original, Best Instrumental and the Tuna Mais Tuna award!

It is in this constant adventure of bringing female voices to life that this tuna holds eternal memories. It is through tuna competitions held throughout the country and elsewhere that it has demonstrated its joy, its spirit, its music and its city!
