I have admired people who have quick sketching skills whereas I used to spend several hours for one object to finish. After light pencil lines, ink lines over it. Then, coloring~ Of course, I love all these steps, but it was hard to maintain a daily illustrated journal.
Jump right into ink sketching is quite frustrating at first. Lines are shaking, shapes are distorting, and end up with an unexpected result. However, it also has lovely characters and lines are getting better through everyday practice.
Capturing the moments within a short time is very exciting. Especially, when it happens with sketching rather than photography because images remain vividly. I hope this video will be a good reference to start with fun illustrated journals. Happy journaling~❤
