Can You Push Kodak Gold 200 to 3200? | Leica M7 Experiment

Описание: In today’s video, I’m attempting something that (to my knowledge) hasn’t really been done before — pushing Kodak Gold 200 all the way to ISO 3200.

I loaded a full roll into my Leica M7 paired with the Voigtländer 28mm f/2.8 Color Skopar VM Type II, rated the film at 3200, and set out to see if anything would even show up on the negatives.

Half of the roll was shot during a rare sunny winter day, the other half during a snowy night using my tripod and cable release. Throughout the process I genuinely questioned whether I was just wasting a roll of film — since many photographers say that pushing color negative film this far simply isn’t possible.

To my surprise, the results were actually usable. There were noticeable color shifts and a loss of shadow detail, but the images held up far better than expected.

This video documents the experiment, the full roll of sample images, and my honest thoughts on where the limits of Kodak Gold might really be.
