Hezbollah incident in Israeli town - IDF witches chased from Rafah border
1.Two European Union nations echoed Hamas over Israel's "brutal" operation in Gaza. The Prime Ministers of Spain and Ireland have sought an urgent probe against Israel. The leaders want the EU to review Israel's compliance with human rights obligations. The unprecedented appeal comes as Israel expands its operation in south Gaza's Rafah. Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar said that several EU states are also talking about a possible joint recognition of a Palestinian state.
2.Israeli jets struck deep inside south Lebanon after deadly Hezbollah rocket attack. Israeli Army said it launched a "broad wave of strikes" deep inside Lebanese territory. Israeli bombings were reported in a number of towns in the south of the country.
3.Yemen-based Houthis have made a big announcement amid fears that they will target submarine internet cable. Chief of Houthi Rebels said the group does not intend to sabotage underwater internet cables. Abdulmalik Al-Houthi dismissed reports alleging Houthis’ intention to target sub & internet cables. The Houthi leader said that these reports are nothing but “confusion and distortion”. This after several media reports claimed Houthis could cut undersea internet cables.
4.A day after reports emerged of France trying to convince Israel, Hezbollah, and Lebanon to accept a deal to de-escalate tension at the border, Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah issued a video statement. The head of the Lebanese group linked a ceasefire at the Israel-Lebanon border to the halting of warfare in Gaza.
