किश्तवाड़ जिले के ऊंचाई वाले जंगलों में कल पाकिस्तानी आतंकियों से भीषण मुठभेड़ हुई। सुरक्षाबलों ने तलाशी अभियान के दौरान सोननाड़-सिंहपोरा, छात्रू के जंगल में घात लगाए आतंकियों का सामना किया। आतंकियों ने जवानों पर अचानक गोलीबारी और ग्रेनेड फेंककर हमला किया। जवाबी कार्रवाई में दोनों ओर से कई घंटों तक रुक-रुककर गोलीबारी चली। इस मुठभेड़ में सेना के आठ जवान घायल हो गए, जिनमें से एक को गंभीर हालत में एयरलिफ्ट कर उधमपुर कमांड हॉस्पिटल ले जाया गया। घायल जवानों को ग्रेनेड के स्प्लिंटर लगने से चोटें आई हैं। आतंकियों को घेरने और पकड़ने के लिए अतिरिक्त बल, ड्रोन और खोजी कुत्तों के साथ व्यापक तलाशी अभियान जारी है। स्थिति अभी नियंत्रण में है और सर्च ऑपरेशन लगातार तेज किया जा रहा है।
