Mar Cubillos is a surfer and shaper of Folklore surfboards ( FLKLR ). His journey started in Santa Cruz, California - the mecca of surfing in the USA. He's from the old school, he was taught by legends, and with Rob Machado they trade shapers.
At the lecture, Mar talked about surfboard shaping, tails, concaves, liters. How it all affects the behavior of the surfboard on the wave and what are the problems in the surf industry right now. He also told his story, which is closely intertwined with the history of surfing.
