Ending The Booze Boycott Won't Save Canada From Trump's Tariffs

Описание: Trump's ambassador to Canada just sat down with Radio Canada and what he admitted about the tariffs and the boycott should make every Canadian double down not back off.

Pete Hoekstra called the alcohol ban totally unfair and said he doesn't understand why Canadians are frustrated. Then when asked point blank whether putting American booze back on the shelves would lead to any tariff relief he said no. Let that sink in. The US started this trade war.

They imposed tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminium and softwood lumber. They threatened to annex Canada. And now their ambassador is sitting in Ottawa telling us that Canada's response is unfair while simultaneously confirming that dropping the boycott won't change anything. This is the clearest signal yet that the boycott is working and that the only move is to keep going.

Hoekstra also claimed the US isn't telling people not to buy Canadian or not to travel to Canada but that framing ignores who started all of this in the first place. The tariffs the threats the entire trade war all came from one direction. Canada didn't start this but we can finish it.

The numbers don't lie. Tourism is down. American products are off the shelves. Provincial leaders are standing their ground. And the ambassador's own words just gave us the best reason to keep boycotting.

If compliance gets you nothing then noncompliance is the only rational response.
