Review: $80 Synthetic Winch Rope

Описание: Today we install and test the Ucreative synthetic winch rope from Amazon.
We have been using steel winch cable exclusively, but after our last trip the cable bound up a few times and we had issues with keeping the dampener in place while winching up hill, we decided it was time to upgrade to synthetic.

First Impressions:
Initially I was skeptical of this rope due to it being a brand I’ve never heard of (Ucreative), but decided to give this a try anyway. We decided to test it out right off the bat by winching out a double-cab long bed Tacoma up a hill. The rope claims it has a breaking strength of over 20k lbs, so we figured we’d go big.

The install is really straight forward, we installed it on an older Warn winch.
The flange that mounts to the winch is slightly thicker than the one on the warn steel cable, so you may need a longer screw as the one that came with the winch barely grabs.
The rope didn’t have any issues pulling the truck and performed well.

In the end, we’ll be adding this rope to the other winches in our group. The price to performance ratio can’t be beat.

Pros:
Stong
Lightweight
Doesn’t require the same maintenance as steel cables
Much safer than steel cables
Affordable

Cons:
The hook is a bit smaller than I’d prefer so I will likely replace it with a larger hook.
Some people may want a different color.
