Welcome to the 4th episode of our TBC Classic Rogue PVP series "Five minutes with".
This week, we're proud to introduce Lithon as Rogue/SP [For race/spec/infos: Read description 👇]

⛔ This is a private server series of content that displays level 70 TBC rogue gameplay in arenas. This is purely made to bring resources to players. SIlent Shadows does not support private servers.

🔷🔷 Race:
🔸 Alliance side: you can play it as Human (rogue) + Dwarf (SPriest) which makes it tankier against rogues especially due to more openers and stone form, for the Priest, with also a powerful instant healing and chastise. The downside is both these abilities are requiring to leave Shadowform.
🔸 Horde side: you play it as double undead, for the WoTF, and the additional DoT (Devouring Plague)

🔷🔷 Rogue spec:
🔸 As a rogue, the specialization used was this one with Imp gouge, which is quite uncommon for today's standards but works pretty well as Spriest rogue because the comp relies a lot of times on CS-Gouge-KS.

We prefer dropping Martyrdom in favor of Silent Resolve which has proven to be more useful.

🔷🔷 Commentary :
SPR is a strong double DPS comp that hard counters some very popular comps like War/Druid. While it does have some counters itself such as Mage/Rogue, the fact that SPR is so strong against most Warrior/Healer, Hunter/Healer, etc. teams makes it very viable. The comp's strengths include very high burst and CC, and its weaknesses include the SP's poor mana and survivability vs rogues if left alone.

CS + Gouge + KS on Druids to setup fears is a common tactic. Historically, the Kidney Shot + Sap trick was used to great effect in this comp on servers like old AT. This allowed SPR teams to cc rogues reliably to protect the SP. However, on servers such as endless, this trick does not work consistently. The next best thing is CS + Gouge + KS to peel rogues. As mentioned before, comps like Mage/Rogue can be difficult. You can increase your odds of winning by preventing shatters and avoiding cheap shot + poly on your rogue. Expect SPR to be a popular comp in classic tbc.
