Nestled in the hills of Srimangal, is one such place- Shanti Bari. This "House of Peace" lives up to its' name in every way. A place of solitude, calm quietness. A place where you can sit under a star filled sky and contemplate the universe.
Shanti Bari is situated on 5 ½ acres between a pineapple garden and lemon grove. The two eco-lodges accommodate a select number of guests who seek the beauty of a natural environment.
Our Basher Ghar provides sleeping for 4 in two rooms, each with attached full bath.
Kather Dalan, our larger residence, has 4 suites suitable for 8 persons.
Our eco-lodges are off the main road, down a winding path crossed by narrow streams. Your way is lit by "fire-fly" lamps as you pass rice paddies, tejpata trees and open pastures.
Two ponds, one filled with fish (that you can catch and eat) and the other with shapla (the national flower of Bangladesh), greet our travelers and add refreshment to the atmosphere. Shanti Bari grows much of the food we serve that is prepared in our own kitchen.
