The West Thumb Geyser Basin is located on the south side of the Grand Loop Road near the Grant Village Visitor Center. What makes this basin especially unique is its location right along the shore of Yellowstone Lake. The boardwalk loops total about three quarters of a mile and include both an inner and outer loop. The inner loop passes through the center of the basin and features many of the area’s most interesting hot springs, so be sure not to skip it.
