Why is Gold falling when it should be rising because of war? Let me explain!

When rates go up, and in simple language, your FD starts paying more money, moves from gold to FDs (Negative for gold)
Also, in the same situation, $ goes up, and because gold is traded in $, the dollar going up reduces the demand for Gold (Negative for Gold)
