Deepfake music video!


This is a digitally animated head and not a real person.
BeakFakes, the creator of this video, made a lip-sync video of his own head and then changed it with digital special effects.
Using a machine learning algorithm, a lot of manual work and time-consuming digital post-processing, the illusion of a living head was created.
Body and original background have been removed. Then the now fully animated head was copied onto a heavily alienated background. Image and sound were synchronized so that they match the beat and tack of the music.
After further fine-tuning, additional digital image effects were added. As a tribute to the eighties, they were knowingly, subtly too heavily staged.
The deepfake person sings both verses of the original OMD song. He also reacts to what is happening in the background video.
