British Columbia is filled with so much natural beauty and these three lakes are some of the most stunning lakes you’ll ever see. They owe their vivid blue colour to the glaciers that feed them and it’s hard to believe they’re real until you see them. In no particular order:
🫶 Garibaldi Lake
Distance: 18km
Elevation gain: 800m
Better be in shape for this one as it’s a serious hike (it’s part of the Panorama Ridge trail)
🫶 Wedgemount Lake & Tupper Lake
Distance: 18km
Elevation gain: 1415m
Also steep and hard - probably the hardest out of the three
🫶 Joffre Lakes
Distance: 9km
Elevation gain: 480m
This is the easiest hike of the three, but it’s also the busiest.
Some tips to keep in mind:
👉 The water isn’t always so blue! the best time to visit is between July and September, with August being the best
👉 your furry friend will need to stay at home
👉 pack out all of your trash
👉 Be sure to get a day pass before you go
👉Take the time to soak in all that beauty 🥰👌
These hikes are full public knowledge and heavily trafficked, especially Joffre Lakes. As we are guests in these places, let’s be respectful ✌️
