Описание: Nádraží Veleslavín station opened on 6 April 2015. Initially, the station did not have escalator leading to the vestibule to the street, so people arriving to or going from the airport had to be helped by special staff. In 2017 a decision was made to build additional escalators at a cost of 33 million Czech crowns.

The planned name for the station was initially just Veleslavín. Authorities later changed it to the current station name, due to it being next to the Praha-Veleslavín station as well as for the nearby tram and bus stop stops of the same name.

General information
The station is adjacent to the Praha-Veleslavín railway station and a bus terminal which became the new terminus of the 59 t-bus line from Václav Havel Airport and regional buses towards Kladno. The station is 20m below ground level. The station was designed by architect Hana Vermachová.


Hradčanská (Czech pronunciation: [ˈɦrat.tʃanskaː]) is a Prague Metro station on Line A, between Dejvická and Malostranská stations. It is named after Hradčany, the district where Prague Castle is located (hrad means "castle" in Czech). However, the Castle itself is 10 minutes away walking from the station. This station originally had only one exit toward Milady Horákové street. It now has multiple exits on this street, on each site of the tram tracks. There is now also an exit directly onto Dejvická street.

The station was opened on 12 August 1978 as part of the inaugural section of Line A, between Leninova and Náměstí Míru.

The station vestibule, which extends under the tram stop, and into which the escalator tunnel enters directly in the middle, is lined with yellow stone. It has a Czech lion carved into it and an inscription reading "Veškerá moc v ČSSR patří pracujícímu lidu" ("All power in the CSSR belongs to the working people")


Line A (Czech: Linka A) is a line of the Prague Metro, serving the Czech capital. Chronologically the second line in the system, it was first opened in 1978 and has expanded mostly during the 1980s. With the opening of the extension to Nemocnice Motol on 6 April 2015, Line A operates on approximately 17.1 kilometres (10.6 mi) of route and serves 17 stations. An extension with a further five stations to the airport is currently planned.

Future
The first phase of a CZK18.7 billion extension on the west end of the A line, from Dejvická to Nemocnice Motol, was opened to the public on the afternoon of 6 April 2015. The second phase of this extension was expected to extend the line to Václav Havel Airport Prague. In 2015, it was announced that rail was the preferred option of connecting the city with the airport.

History
Construction of the first segment started in 1973, part of this segment was also a tunnel connecting this line with the already existing Line C between Muzeum and Náměstí Míru stations. After completion of the second section, work was started on the extension to the new metro depot at Hostivař. The 3.4 kilometres (2.1 mi) long tunnel was completed in 1985, and the second tube in 1987 with the new station Strašnická on that line. In 1990 Skalka station was opened, again on that line, and in 2006 Depo Hostivař station was opened, built in a former wash-stand of the depot.
