Eating in San Leandro, California, and this time I stopped by a true hidden gem Chinese takeout spot, King Kong BBQ.
The goal of this visit was simple. I wanted to finally try their roasted Peking duck. Crispy skin, juicy meat, and that classic Chinese BBQ aroma you notice the moment you walk in. I also ordered the char siu BBQ pork over rice, which was glossy, savory, and incredibly satisfying.
It has been a long time since I last had traditional Chinese barbecue, and coming back to these flavors felt like a real treat. The portions were generous, the flavors were bold, and the takeout style was straightforward and comforting.
