Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers spent nearly all of the second half of 2002 on the road, whether touring in anticipation of or promoting the October release of the album 'The Last DJ.' Before the album's release, the band played approximately 3 songs from the album in their set. After the release, the band included about 6 or more of the songs in the set.
Intermixed with songs from the new album were hits and album tracks that hadn't been played in decades. One of the album songs that was played both before and after the album's October release was the rocking "Lost Children." Though the song was played throughout this tour's entirety, at the April 2003 shows at Chicago's Vic Theatre, and again throughout the 2003 summer tour , it unfortunately was never performed again after that.
