RD26881vid. FFESTINIOG RAILWAY, PORTHMADOG HARBOR STATION. Double Fairlie 0-4-4-0T MERDDIN EMRYS departing from Porthmadog Harbour Station with the empty stock of ‘The Victorian’. It is bound for the new carriage shed at Boston Lodge Works one mile away across The Cob.
The train is called ‘The Victorian’ because all the carriages date back to the Victorian era. As does the engine of course, as this was built in 1879 in the Ffestiniog Railway’s own workshops at Boston Lodge.
