Layouts never go to plan. In this quick breakdown, I show you how we dealt with a common jobsite conflict: a critical vent pipe sitting in the way of our bracket layout.
The Problem: We needed a heavy-duty in-wall steel bracket to support a countertop, but the plumber got to that stud first. Moving the shelf was not an option.
The Fix: I don’t panic and I don’t delay the schedule. Watch as we take the stock hardware give it a quick field modification that allows for robust mounting while maintaining safe clearances for the existing utilities. We aren’t cutting corners--though we cut off corners; we are making it work.
