The circus festival is over. The tents need to be pulled down so they can head off to the Fringe Festival in Perth. A big fire has broken out in Augusta, which is nearby, and it’s making the job of getting the tents down a lot more urgent than normal.

I’m doing a 30 day ‘one-take, no-edit’ video challenge in which I bring you short snippets of life at the circus. I’m pretty excited that I’m up to Day 28 and I haven’t missed a day yet. Only 2 to go.

The Western Australian Circus Festival is held every January in Karridale, south of Margaret River. It usually coincides with the Australia Day weekend.
The festival runs for 3 days and is preceeded by 3 weeks of circus classes which are attended by children and adults from all over Australia.
Circus performers travel from all over the world to teach the classes and perform at the festival.
In 2018 we're running the 11th Western Australian Circus Festival. Cam and I have been involved since the first one.
