The grooming gangs inquiry has become 'The Jess Phillips Show' according to Baroness Maclean, after a Cross Question listener asked if the Labour MP should resign for the inquiry's breakdown.
When the issue of grooming gangs came up, the Tory pointed out that Labour 'had to be dragged kicking and screaming' into launchign the inquiry.
At the centre of the inquiry's current breakdown is Jess Phillips, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Safeguarding and Violence Against Women and Girls.
Baroness Maclean took aim at Phillips' credentials, which were countered by Labour MP Calvin Bailey. The two continued to lock horns as the panel watched on.
