One of my family members found this at my local Habitat for Humanity ReStore for only $15. That's a steal for a unit of such high quality that is in such good condition. It was priced lower than all the modern plastic garbage on the floor.
The shape of this Royal's cleaner head doesn't allow it to clean as well as a Kirby of the same age on the carpet type in this video, but it still seems to clean well. As seen at about 4:36 in the video, it fluffs the carpet quite nicely. If I were to let go of this one, it would likely propel itself across my floor.
One thing that I don't like about it is that it blows a lot of air out of the motor vents. This is fine unless there is large debris on the floor. In this video, it successfully blew a leaf down the whole room.
