Prominent leaders expected to attend the high-level opposition meeting include Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Delhi CM and AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren, Samajwadi Party supremo Akhilesh Yadav, former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, and NCP President Sharad Pawar.

However, Odisha Chief Minister Navin Patnaik, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, and BSP supremo Mayawati will be absent from the gathering. While Patnaik and KCR chose not to attend, Mayawati was not extended an invitation to the meeting. JD(U) Chief Spokesperson K C Tyagi stated, "We have invited those parties that are willing to fight against the BJP in 2024."

The opposition's collective efforts in Patna mark a significant step towards building a united front capable of challenging the ruling BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, with the meeting serving as a platform for crucial discussions and the formulation of a cohesive strategy.
