“The New Immigrant Experience” is a powerful multimedia work composed by Felipe Salles a music faculty member of UMass Amherst and a Guggenheim fellow. The world premiere was held at Old Chapel on April 9, 2019. The piece was performed by the Felipe Salles Interconnections Ensemble, a New England-based, 18-piece jazz ensemble.
