From reducing anxiety, to improved creativity, visual art is an avenue for students to explore different subjects and better understand the world around them. In this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore the works of Canadian artist Emily Carr and how the natural forests in British Columbia influenced her art. Together, we’ll explore some of the principles and elements of design Carr used in her art to create our own majestic forest landscapes. This workshop is designed for grades 4-8 and can be done using your choice of paint, pencil crayons or pastels.
This workshop is presented in partnership with the Art Canada Institute.
