Roshni land scam: CBI to began investigations on top Jammu and Kashmir leaders

Описание: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has stepped into the 'biggest' land scam of Jammu and Kashmir and will start investigations on the Rs 25,000 crore Roshni land scam. CBI registered the fourth case in this matter which will looking into the involvement of senior state leaders in the multi-crore land grab case. Former Jammu and Kashmir CM Farooq Abdullah, PDP's Mehbooba Mufti and a few Congress members are also part of this scam and will be a part of CBI's probe. The scheme was initiated to fund hydroelectric projects for the people of the state, but audit reports claim that it was used to regularize encroached properties at throwaway prices and violated Jammu and Kashmir State Lands (vesting of ownership rights to the Occupants) Act, 2001.
