But from that pain comes drive, intention, and purpose. From that pain comes power. And with power comes the ability to create change.
Southern Center from Human Rights invites and encourages you to join us for ‘Pain & Power: A Stakeholder Symposium Confronting Policing Violence in Atlanta’, the capstone event to our year-long Community Safety and Policing Violence project.
The Symposium will be on Saturday, August 19th, 2023, from 9am to 3pm at The King Center, located at 449 Auburn Avenue NE, Atlanta, GA 30312. Join us as community members who participated in earlier phases of the project help make the case for policy reforms that recenter the conversation about safety on solutions that support the community and away the police-centric offerings that elected officials have continued to propose.
