How To Make A Fondant Brick Wall/ Brick Wall Effect Cake Decorating

Описание: Hi everyone. In this tutorial I show you how to create brick wall effect on sugarpaste (rolled fondant). In the video I work on a fondant covered cake board, but the same technique can also be used directly onto a fondant covered cake. I've used this brick work design on funky graffiti cakes and also a skateboarding cake for my nephew. It really is a great design technique, that looks so effective!

Below is a list of all the items that I use in this tutorial.

To make the brick work effect I used an impression mat. The one I used is by FMM Sugarcraft and it comes in a pack of two, to include a bark impression mat as well. They also have another pack that includes a cobblestone and stone wall effect. I have to say, that I’ve had these impression mats for years and I love them! They allow you to create really effective designs so quickly and easily! You can see in the image below that I used the bark and cobblestone impression mat for the fence and pathway.

Unfortunately, I can’t tell you the colour of the fondant (sugarpaste) that I used, as I created the colour myself, through mixing different colour fondants together. As I made this a while ago I can't quite remember! A list of many the other items that I used can be found at the bottom of this description.
