A Russian court has sentenced a U.S. citizen to four years in prison for trying to take the stocks of Kalashnikov assault rifles out of a Moscow airport. The man bought two Kalashnikov stocks and checked them in a suitcase at Moscow’s Vnukovo airport, but failed to make the necessary customs declaration.
Russian forces launched overnight attacks on Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region. The strikes also led to temporary disruptions at two Polish airports.
Another round of U.S.-brokered Ukraine–Russia talks is set to take place in Geneva later on Tuesday, days before the fourth anniversary of the full-scale invasion.
